PromiseKept tracks what customers owe you, the date they promised to pay, and what has come in, and gets your books ready for your accountant at tax time.
1. Create your account
Go to promisekept.earthdroids.com/promisekept/app and choose Sign in with Google. Pick a plan under Account to add or change invoices ($4.49 first week, then $49/month; or $475/year).
Several businesses (Pro): on the monthly plan, add client businesses under Account → Businesses for $24/month each. Switch between them with the menu at the top of the app. In Claude, name the business, for example “show overdue invoices for Sunny Bakery”.
2. Add your invoices
- QuickBooks Online: choose Connect QuickBooks, sign in to Intuit and pick your company. Open invoices come in automatically; choose Sync QuickBooks any time for new invoices and payments. Read only: PromiseKept never changes your books.
- FreshBooks: choose Connect FreshBooks, sign in to FreshBooks and click Allow. Open invoices come in automatically; choose Sync FreshBooks any time. Read only. Each business connects one book: QuickBooks, FreshBooks or Zoho Books.
- Zoho Books: choose Connect Zoho Books, sign in to Zoho and click Accept. Works in every Zoho region. Open invoices come in automatically; choose Sync Zoho Books any time. Read only.
- CSV: choose Import CSV. Required columns:
invoice, customer, amount, due. Optional:email, paid, promise, status, notes, evidence. Dates YYYY-MM-DD. - By hand: choose Add invoice.
3. Get ready for tax season
Open the Tax season tab and pick a year.
- Review this year from QuickBooks: money in and out by category, every purchase with no receipt attached (largest first), and a checklist for your accountant.
- Download accountant packet: one ZIP with your transactions, the reports, a readable
summary.htmland amanifest.jsonof SHA-256 fingerprints, so your accountant can confirm nothing was changed. - No QuickBooks, or have crypto? Upload CSV files. Transactions:
date, description, amount, category(optionalid, type). Receipts:date, merchant, amount, reference. Crypto:date, asset, type, quantity, value_usd(optionaltxid, wallet). Up to 5 MB each.
Reports are built when you ask and are not stored. They are preliminary bookkeeping indicators for your accountant. They are not a tax return, not tax advice, and not capital gains or cost basis calculations.
4. Use PromiseKept in Claude
Connector URL: https://promisekept.earthdroids.com/promisekept/mcp
- In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector (or install PromiseKept from the directory), paste the URL, then Connect.
- Sign in with Google (the same account you use for PromiseKept) and click Allow.
Try asking:
- “What's my PromiseKept summary?”
- “Which invoices have broken promises?”
- “Draft a follow up for the oldest overdue invoice.”
- “Acme promised to pay invoice 1007 on Friday. Record that.”
- “Sync my QuickBooks invoices.”
- “Give me my 2025 tax year overview.”
- “Which purchases are missing receipts for 2025?”
- “Get me the accountant packet link for 2025.”

Write and tax tools need an active plan. Each change uses a one time key, so retries never apply twice. PromiseKept never emails or contacts your customers.
Remove access
Delete the connector in Claude, or delete your PromiseKept account under Account. That revokes every connection.
